STAGE OVERVIEW
The Center Theater stage is an extended thrust with two steps on either three of five sides leading to the stage from the house. The thrust section is demountable to the needs of the production. The upstage portion of the stage is permanent. Stage height is 1’ 7-1/2”. There are twelve wooden, slatted, sliding walls that can be brought in to become a single back wall just upstage of the thrust or opened up to form a sort of proscenium of any width. The permanent back wall is 14’ upstage of the sliding walls. The widest section of the thrust is 20’ or 38’ if the stage extensions are installed. The stage is covered with 1/4” masonite. The floor and the back wall are painted black.
