JUST FOR SHOWS
We have added this section to our guide in order to provide information that is tailored for events involving public attendance (i.e. concerts, dances, consumer shows, etc.).

All promoters will be required to complete a Rental Application / Questionnaire and provide proof that contracts exist between the promoter and the performers.

Box Office/Ticket Ordering/Handling Procedure
The Long Beach Convention & Entertainment Center has a full-service Box Office for advance sale purchase plus satellite ticket offices at each facility for day of event sales. In addition to sales at the Center, tickets are distributed through all TicketMaster outlets. A Charge-Line service is also offered whereby tickets may be purchased in advance by phone and charged to either Visa, MasterCard, or American Express. All Licensees using the Center must utilize our Box Office Services if tickets are offered for sale.

The following policy has been established for all consumer events scheduled for the Center. This policy will apply for any public sale of tickets or controlled sale of tickets (i.e. private events).

NOTE: ALL TICKETS MUST BE ORDERED BY THE BOX OFFICE MANAGER OF THE LONG BEACH CONVENTION & ENTERTAINMENT CENTER. IN THE EVENT ANY UNAUTHORIZED TICKETS ARE ORDERED AND DISTRIBUTED, THEY WILL NOT BE HONORED.
All ticketing must follow these procedures unless specifically exempted by the General Manager of the Center.

The Center will control the box office, ticket personnel, crowd control personnel and ticket sales revenue (both advance and day of sale) through the final settlement.

The Center shall have the right to offer tickets for sale to all of its approved agencies. Licensee may request that ticket sale privileges be extended to additional agencies. Upon approval of request, Licensee assumes all responsibility for the collection of funds and unsold tickets. All funds from the advance sale of tickets and unsold tickets are to be returned to the Box Office Manager 48 hours prior to the scheduled event date and time. All advance sale tickets that are not returned prior to this time will be considered sold (with all monies due), which will be subtracted from the remaining advance sale and / or door sale.

Licensee agrees to provide event personnel that may arise pertaining to the distribution of consigned tickets.

The Center will provide various reimbursable labor services, etc., throughout your event. All reimbursables will be due and payable, from the gross gate receipts unless all estimated reimbursables are paid in advance. If the estimated reimbursables have been paid, only the difference between the actual reimbursables and paid estimated reimbursables will be due.

All tickets will be ordered by the Center’s Box Office Manager through TicketMaster. No tickets will be distributed or placed on sale until the Box Office Manager receives and checks them against the manifest. If this is not done, the Center has the right to cancel the event.

Licensee agrees to sell all tickets at the prices as advertised by Licensee and approved by the Center Box Office Manager at least 72 hours prior to event.

Licensee agrees to provide 50 complimentary tickets for the Long Beach Arena, 20 for the Terrace Theater, 10 for the Center Theater and 20 tickets for Exhibition Hall events for eachperformance or day the event will take place. Such complimentary tickets shall be “prime” seats, if the event is reserved, and the choice of the Center’s General Manager or duly appointed representative (i.e. Event Manager). Complimentary tickets must be delivered to the office of the General Manager at least ten (10) working days prior to the event.

NOTE: COMPLIMENTARY TICKETS FOR THE PROMOTERS USE MAY NOT EXCEED 5% OF THE TOTAL APPROVED MANIFEST, UNLESS APPROVED BY THE GENERAL MANAGER, AND ARE INCLUDED IN THE MAXIMUM CAPACITY.
Licensee shall be responsible for the credit-worthiness of its patrons including, but not limited to, bad checks and credit cards.

The Long Beach Convention & Entertainment Center has authorized the distribution of tickets through TicketMaster. All such sales must be included under the provisions of our contracts with the distributing agency.
