We are so excited to welcome back meetings, conventions, and events to the Long Beach Convention & Entertainment Center!
The following FAQ list is designed to answer all your pressing questions about the Long Beach Convention & Entertainment Center’s reopening. We will update this list as needed on a timely basis.
Per the Office of California Governor Gavin Newsom, the state’s economy will fully reopen on June 15, 2021, if the current declining trajectory in COVID-19 infections and hospitalizations continues. Given the pace of vaccinations in California, a continued decline is expected.
The Center will be open for events again in August 2021!
Per the state government, conventions of up to 5,000 may take place indoors beginning June 15. Masks are the only requirements for attendance of this size. For events of 5000 or more, COVID-19 testing and/or vaccination verification will be required.
The Office of Governor Gavin Newsom has stated that in October California will no longer require any restrictions on conventions or events, including masking.
The Center will begin housing migrant children imminently on a temporary basis through August 2.
Yes. The federal government has committed to covering any related site improvements and repairs, so the center will be refreshed and ready to welcome back meetings and visitors as soon as it opens its doors in August.
